Job Description:


Foodbuy is the foodservice industry’s leading Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) focused on lowering product and service cost within the broad foodservice and related industries. With offices in Charlotte, NC and Alpharetta, GA, we offer a Great Opportunity for career development and growth as a Senior Customer Relations Coordinator. This position will be based in our Charlotte, NC office.


This position is responsible for performing purchasing and performance related financial and data analysis for one of Foodbuy’s business channels. This includes performing opportunity cost analysis, financial and behavioral trend analysis, assist in the preparation of internal and external executive level financial reporting, as well as, working with the account management and business development team to further Foodbuy’s overall financial goals. This role is responsible for adhering to all established and future processes and standards.


Responsibilities:



  • Analyze and interpret client purchasing related financial reports, identify trends and assist in the development of executive level financial summaries

  • Conduct client driven cost analysis, analyze price trends and create executive level summary reports for key stakeholders.

  • Identify supply cost reduction opportunities for our clients while increasing program utilization and Foodbuy account revenue margin

  • Work with Account Management and their clients to convert products within manufacturer categories and from one manufacturer to another to achieve food cost savings

  • Participate in preparation of key business analysis to assist functional leaders in decision-making processes.

  • Investigate trends and variances compared to prior periods and forecast

  • Ad hoc financial analysis and special projects to support continued growth of business

  • Be open to new methodologies to drive efficiencies in reporting and analysis

  • Analyze and assist in the interpretation and modeling of customer level purchasing trends, and provide executive summary level recommendations based on findings.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required; Finance or Business focus preferred

  • 2+ years of financial analysis, opportunity analysis, variance analysis, trend analysis and/or financial reporting experience

  • Financial analysis experience in the food service/restaurant or Group Purchasing disciplines a plus

  • Supplier and customer interaction experience preferred

  • Purchasing/procurement experience preferred

  • Distribution or foodservice experience is preferred

  • Minimal travel required

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Word, Access and Visio

  • Advanced knowledge of CERES (or other rebate / contract management technology)

  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills are required

  • Detail-oriented Analytical problem solving

  • Flexible/Adapts well to change

  • Collaborative – works well as a member of a team

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Customer service focus: Value customers. Meet or exceed their requirements and be consistent with business priorities
