Job Description:
This position is responsible for soliciting business for Social events, Wedding, Meetings, Conventions, etc. The position will operate in accordance with strategic objectives and selective selling guidelines in place to meet and exceed market driven Group revenue components. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
Work directly with the General Manager to ensure all catering menu proposals are presented to the client accurately & effectivelyEnsure that all appropriate communication for upcoming business is complete and distributed in a timely manner to the management teamWork with the service staff to see that message handling with administrative support is efficiently handled and placed in the computer based system immediately Correspond with potential customers providing any requested information concerning bids, proposals, confirmation of bookings, thank you letters, follow-up letters, etc. In conjunction with other office associates, you will maintain accurate and up to date records of all Sales department functions and transactions.
Qualifications:
Individual must have a minimum of 2 years of strong operations experience with a catering company, full service hotel, or other related field/equivalent experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing a plus.

Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, be a team player and be able to creatively think and work within the full spectrum of all that is involved with being a successful catering company.
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
