AUDIO/VISUAL TECHNICIAN
Location: McLean, VA
Provide daily support for audio visual and videoconference equipment utilizing excellent customer service and client support skills. Assist in setup, breakdown and troubleshooting of audio visual equipment needed to execute productive conferences and company events. Troubleshoot, repair, set-up and configure meeting rooms and videoconference systems. Support special projects as requested by management. Perform preventative maintenance service as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate audio visual equipment
- Assist clients and be able to troubleshoot integrated audio visual systems within conference rooms
- Conduct equipment preventative maintenance and room checks to all conference rooms based on criteria outlined in the conference room checklists. Fix what is needed or escalate to the Director of Conference Operations
- Track all portable equipment and supplies, ensuring that accurate inventory records are maintained
- Utilize databases effectively, maintaining up to date records on all equipment
- Keep accurate records of all emergency audio visual assistance calls
- Demonstrate the ability to switch out equipment installed in rooms when required
- Provide end user training when required
- Any other special projects, duties deemed necessary by your supervisor or Manager
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in Conference Services/Audio Visual field
- Basic knowledge of integrated Audio Visual systems
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a professional and appropriate demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to carry out responsibilities with little supervision
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office, to include: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Net Meeting, and MS Outlook, WebEx
- Thorough knowledge of PC platform including networks and file mapping.
- Willingness to adhere to all FLIK International policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook as well as Merck specified policies.
