Job Description:
Compass Group, the world's leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as a Financial Analyst supporting our Systems & Technology Group (STG).
Responsibilities:
Analyzes, scrubs and organizes data from various sources and vendors
Researches and escalate billing errors, with vendors and appropriate IT managers
Researches backup and support against vendor invoices.
Creates and Maintains Cost Center and Employee information on IT Equipment.
Scrubs and reconciles P&L and Balance Sheets for STG Management (46 cost centers and 8 project operations)
Understands or has ability to research tax implications of technical spend
Ensures business spend is with Approved Vendors
Enforces Compass policies pertaining to approved business spending
Provides detail for project costing, budget and cost controls for STG Management, Strategic Projects, Assets an Auditors
Provides auditors with back-up and support regarding invoices, recoveries and transfers
Ensures no duplication of invoices or data
Evaluates and reports on deviations and trend analyses
Researches and evaluates rates for recoveries and outside services
Utilizes various data sources in the preparation of analyses evaluation
Provides assistance in the formulation of departmental budget requests, including documentation, investigation and related budget impact studies
Creates Quotes and POs
Receives against PO and reconcile invoices
Allocates and pays IT expenditures across the company
Creates, validates and processes STG recoveries, charge out uploads, project expenses and transfers between cost centers.
Processes internal transfers and work with vendors to update information.
Sets-up Assets to be depreciated over useful life
Accrues missing delayed invoices during monthly close process
Sets-up recurring entries to spread maintenance or prepaid invoices evenly over Fiscal or Calendar year.
Makes Payments via P-card and submit reconciliation and receipts
Creates scanned images and support for all invoices via Fortis
Assists in application testing to ensure functionality of the product and documentation of processes and procedures
Significant daily contact with all levels of Compass associates and management (field and corporate) regarding hardware & software solutions
Maintains data and configuration within multiple SQL and Application servers
Runs SAP Source Programs to generate InUnit Billing charges
Submits Release Management Requests for planned system outages
Basic understanding of DotNetNuke framework
Supports and troubleshoot front line and second level connectivity issues with applications
Ability and working knowledge of utilizing remote desktop for application access
Effectively communicates to 3rd level technical support.
Understanding overall application architecture/structure
Seeks out potential cost savings
Ability to adjust to changing priorities
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance
3 - 5 years accounting/finance/reporting experience for a large corporation
Knowledge of Accounting Treatment for IT equipment (PC's, servers, printers, peripherals, hubs, gateways, routers, modems, POS equipment, mobile devices, IP Phones, switches).
Understanding of budgetary management and accounting principles and procedures.
Ability to preform standardized and statistical computations
Strong technical skills with the ability to quickly learn new tools
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
Strong Microsoft Access skills a plus
Experience in deadline driven environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
