Job Description:
As a Sr. Developer, the successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating, and coordinating software development practices across multiple applications in Microsoft technology. The Sr. Developer should possess strong technical and potential leadership qualities to plan, design, document, and implement strategies for the development of new enterprise scale applications in the Microsoft technology space. In addition, the candidate should be capable of managing projects, development deliverables, and requirements scope for new or existing products and applications. The candidate will possess strong technical and programming skills including experience with designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-class system software. These qualities should be used effectively to work with developers, architects, administrators, and analysts to resolve complex system issues as well as communicating the results to senior management. Candidate should posses' strong communication skills to effectively manage the internal and external expectations from customers.

Experience working across different version of the Microsoft technologies, development tools, operating systems, and application servers is a must. The candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining development plans, release management plans, and testing methodologies that ensure application development is within the prescribed best practices for all assigned software systems. These responsibilities must be met while ensuring compliance with system specifications. The candidate must maintain a high degree of process, and documentation on all software releases to support existing development efforts as well as the maintenance of deployed solutions.


Responsibilities:

Create comprehensive development plans

Escalate issues and Communicate the status of deliverables to key stake holders

Provide coordination for the project team regarding scope, issue resolution, project priorities, and following the development methodology

Ensure documentation on architecture, processes, & systems changes are in agreement

Develop team members and coach them where needed to help build new and improved skillsets

Collaborate with Developers and Business Analysts as needed to resolve and identify the root cause of defects and/or usability concerns of solutions

Collaborate with other project teams to improve process, tools, quality metrics, and methodology

Collaborate with other team members for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the development efforts

Ensure the execution of Unit and Module-level tests against detailed design specifications

Develop and document clear and concise custom program specifications through consultation with analysts to ensure the successful delivery of user specifications

Provide impact assessments to offer workable & efficient technical solution to meet business needs

Participate in all aspects of Application Development Life Cycle (requirements, design, development, test, etc.)

Interact with business teams to review, analyze, design, and implement new applications/changes

Work closely with technical/QA staff to design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement changes

Utilize a variety of available scripting languages, web technologies, relational databases, monitoring tools, and modeling tools, but primarily using Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio

Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or related field with professional work experience in software developmentA minimum of 7 years cumulative experience working with and creating enterprise-class software development with 3 years of experience in solution architecture, design & developmentA strong technical background and leadership skills coupled with in-depth experience developing software for enterprise-class applications on .NET platformsDemonstrated experience implementing and maintaining enterprise-class applications5+ years' experience in developing ASP.Net (C#) web applications with SQL Server databases using N-Tier architectureExcellent understanding and hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, AJAX, MVC, JavaScript, CSS, VB.Net, C++, VB6, HTML, DHTML, XMLExperience using Visual Studio & other Development tools for compiling and debugging is mustExperience with some or all of the following is a must: SQL Server, Windows 2008 Server, IIS, TSQL, SQL development, Stored Procedures, DTS, SSIS, SQL JobsExperience in implementing Web Services, APIsExperience in Enterprise Reporting development like SSRS, ActiveReportsAbility to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems is a mustDemonstrated ability to handle/organize multiple complex technical projects simultaneously without compromising the quality of work or the final productDemonstrated strong analytical & troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated team player to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment who thrives on challenging problems and eager to learnMust have strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently as well as part of a teamMust be able to rapidly deliver results & possess the ability to catch on quickly to new ideas and processes Prior experience in creating enterprise-class solutions for retail business Background in CMM, SDLC, Scrum or other software development methodologies Experience working on web frameworks like Dojo or JQuery Experience working on frameworks like Angular or Knockout Experience in using TFS / VS2013 Experience balancing business priorities with technical best practices and implementation Methodologies Graphic/Web Design Experience is a plus Experience with testing is a plus (TDD, unit tests, integration tests, load tests, etc.) Experience with LDAP and Active Directory is a plus Experience initiating, planning, documenting, developing, and rolling out projects on time and on budget Great People.
