This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to become a leader in a great company and growing corporation. In this position you will oversee the daily operation of a large industrial laundry facility in the processing and delivery of healthcare linens. You will also manage the development and training of the engineering staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility.
- Develop and train all staff in plant and emergency procedures.
- Handle the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative, and emergency repairs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Develop a plant wide Preventative maintenance schedule for all building, process equipment, and all plant utilities.
- Maintain the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies and labor management.
- Assure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards.
- Oversee outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipment.
- Available for off-site, plants startups and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or military experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
- Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blue prints.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Good working knowledge all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to; Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Mechanical Equipment.
Military Transferrable Skills and Qualifications:
- Navy Rank E-5 + with experience as ET- Electronics Technician, IC – Interior Communications, MM – Machinist Mate, EM- Electricians Mate is highly sought after.
- United States Coast Guard Rank E-5 plus with experience as EK - Machinery Technician and EM – Electricians Mate, and DC-Damage Control Man
- Military positions understanding the electrical schematics of heavy duty machinery as well as boilers, chillers, hydraulics, pneumatic pumps, and centrifuges.
