Job Description:
Responsible for supervising the central kitchen consistent with client contracts and corporate policies. Duties shall include the direct supervision of kitchen staff to insure is responsible for making sure a product meets the customer's standard of quality, customer satisfaction and achievement of corporate financial targets and goals - responsible for inspecting, testing, tracking, sorting, sampling and weighing.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

As part of the approval or rejection process, controllers must keep careful records of their testing. This may be done either with pain-staking hand-written records or with the help of electronic equipment. Some quality assurance personnel may be required to submit daily, weekly or monthly reports analyzing the overall quality of the products they are responsible for over a given time period.

Assure all production standards and recipes are in use at all times.

Monitor drivers procedures are properly followed.

Must keep careful records to comply with USDA requirements.

Monitor production staff and their use of usage reports. Required to submit daily, weekly or monthly reports analyzing the overall quality of the products they are responsible for over a given Time period.

Will assure the kitchen meets all local, state and federal health standards and is rated satisfactory or above

Participate in personnel activities to include:

! Assist with Hiring the best possible staff

! Training of hourly staff

! Job descriptions for staff

! Compliance of Corporate Affirmative Action Plan

! Continuous counseling of staff as required

Conduct regular food production/problem solving meetings with staff to assure compliance with needs

Assist with kitchen production where needed.

Monitor freezer meal production and organize daily production.

Conducting quality assurance safety testing.

Check shipments and drivers out before departure.

Check out employees before they leave for the day to assure compliance to tasksheet procedures.

Perform additional duties not aforementioned as directed by your Supervisor

Basic Requirements

Detail oriented, good communication skills, both written and verbal, should possess a professional demeanor as well as multitasking, problem solving and organization skills. Should also be able to work well in a team setting and should be able to deal effectively with customer complaints. Position require basic computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office.

Experience for this position includes working well in a team setting, product quality inspection experience, experience working in a fast paced environment. Ability to lead a team, the ability to compare past performance to present performance to determine areas which need improvement, the ability to inspect a product to determine if there is a need for improvement and the ability to make modifications, if necessary. Fluency in more than one language is a plus.

Preferred education: Bachelor's of Engineering or a related field or an equivalent amount of work experience.

Helpful certifications include Six Sigma, Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Quality Inspector, Quality Process Analyst and Quality Technician Certifications.
