Job Description:

Verizon has multiple locations that provides support for Verizon Colleagues as they transition into a more mobile work environment. Our Concierge are mobile throughout the sites and supported by a call center handling reservation and site requests. The General Manager is to oversee the Conference Services, Receptionists, Audio Visual support, call Center and Concierge Services for all Verizon sites. The General Manager will ensure all staff will deliver superior customer service, operate the locations effectively and maximize usage to the properties full potential.


PRIMARY JOB DUTIES



  • Oversee all aspects of the Mobility, Conference Services, Audio Visual and Concierge Departments.

  • Manage the overall operations of the properties to include all aspects that would ensure a successful environment for mobile workers, meetings, trainings and guests.

  • Answer and manage all Human Resource items related to conference center staff. Provide administrative support to designated departments such as Human Resources (gathering paperwork from arriving job applicants), Accounting (performing clerical tasks), etc.

  • Work with all on-site vendors to ensure that the facility is maintained and operated constantly, ensuring high customer satisfaction appearance. Communicate requests to the appropriate internal support departments, such as Building Maintenance (heating and cooling issues), Information Technology (computer issues), Audio Visual Technology (meeting room technical support), and Mail Room (package pick-ups and deliveries).

  • Manage all financial aspects of the Operation to ensure accurate and timely reporting and that all goals and budgets are maintained

  • Conduct all weekly staff meetings

  • Develop Quarterly Action Plans to complete projects that improve Operations and customer satisfaction based on the Verizon/Compass overall yearly initiatives.

  • Complete, review and analyze all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports

  • Train, develop and recruit effectively all conference and reception staff.

  • Maintain a constant relationship and communication channel with the FLIK International Corporate Office and Support Team.

  • Adhere to all Compass policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook

  • Planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the activities of the Mobility, Conference Planning, Reservations and Reception teams.

  • Have a thorough understanding of the firm’s emergency procedures and be prepared to carry out designated tasks in the event of a fire or other emergency

  • Managing all human resources functions related to FLIK associates, including the recruiting, hiring, initial training and on-going professional development of staff members.

  • The teaching and implementation of FLIK Platinum Service® principles within the Conference Planning, Reservations and Reception functions.

  • Continually monitoring payroll and other expenses, ensuring that they are in line with budget and with forecasted levels of business.

  • Following established guidelines for obtaining proper approvals and providing accurate and timely explanations/documentation for any expenditures of company funds.

  • Ensuring that appropriate Standard Operating Procedures are in place for all functions and that these procedures are modified as changes occur or new responsibilities are assumed.




Required Job Qualifications



  • Experience with supervising remote locations or multi-unit experience

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to carry out responsibilities with little supervision, as well as juggle many tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience with a reservation software

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and experience with financial/statistical analysis

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.

  • Familiarity with conference room reservation/space management systems.

  • Extensive knowledge in event and space management with focus on event logistics and execution.

  • Ability to think strategically in terms of both short-term and long-term objectives and challenges.

  • A college graduate with several years of related experience and 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

  • Discreet, ethical and committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
