SSC Service Solutions is a part of Compass Group, Support Services, which provides customer focused support services. As specialists, we perform services including housekeeping, management in laundry processing, facilities management, and engineering. Compass Group, Support Services is a compilation of the most committed and talented individuals working in the industry today. Responsibilities:
- Review, evaluate and recommend space utilitization programs.
- Communication with hospital staff, community groups, agencies, contractors, architects and engineers to plan, organize, and coordinate programs and services.
- Monitors flow and quality of work.
- Prepare bid documents, specifications, cost estimates, budgets, schedules and savings in energy.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of departmental records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, State Health Department, NFPA, EPA, DEP,ADAand local building codes and all other authorities having jurisdiction.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor construction and development of facilities.
- Prepare, review, evaluate and recommend approval of plans for construction.
- Advise on structural changes and additions and/or modifications to buildings and space utilization.
- Interview independent contractors to receive and analyze bids, including blueprint analysis of proposed changes.
- Submit bids, cost estimates, schedules, phasing plans, budgets, reports and recommendations.
- Liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, regulatory agencies, hospital facilities staff, material and equipment suppliers.
- Oversee day to day construction activities and maintain all appropriate logs.
Qualifications:
- Two year Tech Degree in engineering or equivalent work or military experience in a related field required.
- Five years engineering and construction experience in a Hospital health care institution preferred.
- Five years management experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices and procedures, applicable laws and government regulations, principles of management.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Must possess a working knowledge of JCAHO, NFPA.
