Job Description:
Foodbuy is the foodservice industry’s leading Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) focused on lowering purchasing and product costs for foodservice organizations. This position will be based in our Charlotte, NC office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed research and analysis to ensure that data integrity is maintained throughout the system.
- Analyze purchase data and prepare internal/external financial reporting
- Ensure that accurate manufacturer invoices are generated from proprietary database.
- Present findings to management and solicit feedback via formal/informal communication.
- Learn and demonstrate comprehensive understanding of QC processes.
- Resolve customer challenges, ad-hoc requests and concerns.
- Formulate new methodologies to effectively perform QC processes.
- Ensure that all dealings with suppliers, clients, and internal personnel are carried out ethically.
Qualifications:
- Completion of undergraduate degree and/or equivalent business experience
- 2-3 years purchasing and/or contract management experience
- General understanding of business/contractual terms and conditions
- Financial analysis, trend analysis, and/or audit experience preferred
- Flexible/adaptable to change
- Collaboration - Works well as a member of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Motivated/self-starter
- Working with units of measure/conversions and complex calculations
- Prior foodservice experience is preferable
- This position requires a detail-oriented team player with excellent follow-through
- Must have willingness and flexibility to work lengthy hours during month end close
- Computer Skills - Advanced level knowledge of Excel; basic skills in Access.
