Job Description:


Foodbuy is the foodservice industry’s leading Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) focused on lowering purchasing and product costs for food service organizations.


We currently have a Great Opportunity for career development and growth as a Procurement Analyst. This position will be located in our Charlotte, NC office.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage the accuracy of the proprietary rebate, pricing and billing database and process all data requests by stated deadlines

  • Administer the release of contract pricing to the distribution/member networks and respond to any and all inquiries surrounding pricing release

  • Review Ceres New Item Manager monthly and work with the Category Development team to ensure the accuracy and rebateability

  • Help maintain standardization of catalog data (Item Details, Category/Sub Category, UOM’s, etc.) by identifying outliers and requesting updates via Catalog Management

  • Develop detailed understanding of Legal Contracts and ensure that the CERES agrees to the commercial terms of the legal contract

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders

  • Identify, calculate Retro/Revised Billing Opportunities, present to category development and process Billing Requests through internal systems

  • Generate reports using various reporting tools (i.e. FORT, Reports Portal, FSM, SAP).

  • Perform various types of analysis by customer/distributor/category/item relative to purchase volume, quantities, and rebates.

  • Develop product knowledge and understanding of market conditions.

  • Act as gatekeeper of Mfr Discrepancies, acting as liaison between multiple departments, not limited to category development, member development, and finance, to facilitate resolution to MDN’s within agreed upon SLA


Qualifications:



  • Must have 2+ years of experience analyzing large volumes of data

  • Must be able to work effectively on an individual basis and as part of a team

  • Must be able to read and interpret information; write correspondence and reports; and present effectively to other employees, suppliers and/or customers

  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, metric conversions, area and volume. Need to be able to apply concepts of algebra and basic calculus

  • Must be able to pull tangible and intangible data pieces together to draw conclusions and provide recommendations for solutions where limited standardization and multiple variables exist

  • High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook required with the ability to perform vlookups and pivot table summaries

  • Time and Project Management skills required

  • Experience with SAP and other database or purchase tracking applications a plus

  • High energy individual able to adapt to ever changing environment
