Job Description:
The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for assembling and analyzing data and information in support of the sourcing, category development, customer relations Support, and finance organizations for Foodbuy. This position is accountable for developing and implementing forms of financial, quantitative and qualitative measurements to provide documentation of financial performance. Responsibility for performing detailed research and analysis to ensure data integrity and data accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide product and category analysis in support of the 7 step sourcing process
- Category Development Support
- Provide compliance reporting in support of category development
- Provide recommendations for product rationalization Category Development Support
- Provide spend analysis for Category Development
- Support order guides audits
- Maintain product management tools (S1 list, Manufacturer hierarchy, product match library)
- Customer Relations Support
- Provide compliance reporting in support of customer relations
- Provide ad hoc Sector: or Business Excellence reporting for Customer Relations
- Finance Support
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for Finance
Qualifications:
- 1+ year(s) financial, trend or data analysis experience required;related college coursework may be considered in lieu of formal work experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access
- Ability to become proficient in internal and external data maintenance and analytics tools
- Financial or trend analysis experience
- Supplier and customer interaction experience
- Purchasing/procurement experience
- Distribution or foodservice experience
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Adapt behavior in dealing with changing situations and people. Be open-minded and adjust priorities in response to unanticipated events
- Collaborative – works well as a member of a team
- Coordinate and organize resources and people in efficient and effective ways to accomplish larger strategies and goals
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong customer service focus—both internal and external customers
