Job Description:
Financial Analyst in New York City, NY
Compass Group, the world’s leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as a Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, prepare, analyze and report monthly results of operations for internal management reporting for Compass Group, North America.
- Assist in maintaining and updating department data files on a monthly basis for budget, forecast and prior year results to properly reflect business realignments.
- Establish a good working relationship with company Sector:s.
- Maintain a complete understanding of company hierarchy.
- Assist in the coordination of the annual budgeting process.
- Assist in the coordination of quarterly forecasts.
- Assist in providing other ad hoc reports and analyses at the request of management.
Qualifications:
- Four year degree in accounting/ finance required, Advanced level degree preferred.
- 3+ years accounting/finance experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong Microsoft Access and Excel skills a plus.
- Proficiency in budget development, creating advanced financial audit tools using MS Excel
- Ability to interpret and devise proactive approaches to P&L statements/budgets variances.
- Experience with implementing quality control measures to maintain budgetary complaince.
- Experience required in labor analysis, FTE adherence in conjunction with budget parameters.
- Six sigma green belt certification.
- Ability to work in a healthcare setting and must have professional experience working with the healthcare team, ie Nursing, Administration, and Patients/Residents.
- Experience in a deadline driven environment.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/priorities.
