Job Description:


Projects and Systems Senior Functional Analyst position to support and enhance the functions and responsibilities of departments within the Accounting Services Departments and coordinate efforts as needed with other company resources to achieve a more effective, efficient and improved work environment while providing excellent customer service and assisting in the initial assessment of the processes as requested. This position reports to the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting Services Systems and Projects.


The position will be based in our Charlotte, NC corporate office.


Responsibilities:



  • Support business applications as necessary for critical processes within the Corporate Accounting Services functions,

    • Partner in the vision and development of our Essbase environment

    • Assist with the administration and maintenance of HFM and Essbase v. 11.1.2

    • Coordinate issue resolution with internal and external technical support providers

    • Support corporate, field and remote users with Hyperion applications and Smart View



  • Act as the project manager and primary developer on Corporate Accounting Services projects and initiatives

    • Assist in discovering opportunities for cost savings within improvements/projects

    • Analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of current departmental processes and procedures and ultimately help to implement identified improvements

    • Manage projects independently.

    • Develop project plans and manage to targeted completion dates.

    • Create trending analyses to track and measure process towards goals

    • Assist in the development, maintenance and support of department databases

    • Document lessons learned and implement preventative solutions

    • Execute and encourage acceptance of change management

    • Implement testing strategy, including: methodology definition, test tools development, testing script documentation, results reporting, and issue resolution.

    • Documenting requirements for projects and process improvements.

    • Provide impact/option assessments to offer workable, efficient solutions.



  • Act as a Corporate Accounting Services lead on various enterprise-wide projects and initiatives

  • Interact with professionals within STG to align with future development needs and leverage their knowledge base for best practice/approach

  • Participate in training team members on enhancing existing or learning new skill sets with available application use


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or MIS. Significant related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education in these two degrees.

  • Advanced Excel and Access skills (Advanced Macros, Visual Basic coding)

  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase, HFM, EPMA, Financial Reporting Studio, Hyperion Shared Services a plus

  • Experience with SAP General Ledger.

  • Experience supporting Accounting users.

  • Must have high organizational and planning ability along with being detail oriented with strong analytical skills

  • Ability to manage both small and large projects and deadlines.

  • Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and be service oriented, collaborative approach to internal customer and peer relationships.

  • Ability to lead and direct associates as well as be a strong team player.

  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills.

  • Hands on experience with process improvement methodologies.
