Job Description:


Compass Group, the world’s leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as a Financial Analyst within our Audit and Technical Accounting group.


Responsibilities:


To include a combination of the following:



      •  Assist with the coordination of audit activities for the IFRS audit between external auditors and Compass associates


      •  Interact with external auditors to resolve audit questions and issues that arise


      •  Assist with the annual audit process for the Puerto Rico operations, including preparation of stand alone financial statements, under the Sr. Financial Analyst’s supervision


      •  Assist with the annual audit process for the Benefit Plans, including preparation of stand alone financial statements, under the Sr. Financial Analyst’s supervision


      •  Assist with monthly/quarterly sales commission reviews


      •  Assist with Pension reporting schedules


      •  Prepare and gather external and internal audit supporting documents


      •  Assist in the preparation of US GAAP financial statements


      •  Assist with maintaining the US GAAP ledger in SAP


      •  Review, reconcile and roll forward assigned corporate accounts.


      •  Suggest changes/improvement to processes to increase the accuracy, efficiency or effectiveness of daily activities


      •  Assist in key financial controls related projects


      •  Perform special projects as assigned



Qualifications:



      •  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting


      •  CPA strongly preferred; or you must be in pursuance of the CPA license


      •  2+ years of accounting, audit and reporting experience


      •  1+ years Public Accounting audit experience preferred


      •  Big Four CPA firm experience a plus


      •  International clients experience a plus


      •  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced deadline driven environment


      •  Strong organization skills


      •  Detail oriented with strong analytical skills


      •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills


      •  Ability to work with Sr. Analysts/managers across multiple disciplines


      •  Ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills


      •  SAP & Essbase experience a plus


      •  Proficiency in Excel and Access


      •  Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
