Job Description:
Compass Group, the world's largest contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as a Senior Payroll Analyst.
Responsibilities:
Senior Payroll Operations Analyst provides data analysis, time capture responsibilities/reconciliation and support for Payroll in a team lead role.
Perform real-time root cause analysis on each issue in order to identify gaps in existing solutions and assist in developing new preventive solutions.
Help team members resolve more complex issues
Capture structured data in work orders for each issue in order to provide audit trails and statistical analysis.
Perform additional analyses and special project work related to payroll.
Find opportunities to reduce volumes and improve accuracy on team.
Assist with escalated issues and oversee resolution by implementing process change where needed.
Provide weekly reporting to management on preventative solutions.
Assist with audit review and work with other payroll teams to modify and improve existing audits as well as creating new audits.
Perform designated backup responsibility for various projects as needed.
Review maintenance work orders, isolate and resolve issues.
Monitor off-cycle count for time submission errors with concentration on volume reduction.
Monitor time capture work orders for areas of improvement - provide feedback to management and field.
Maintain weekly process of validating employee master data.
Organization of results from weekly queries, communication to Sector:s of any possible time submission and/or master data discrepancies, follow-up with team to ensure corrections are made to master data, and update queries as necessary to enhance the validation process.
Ability to understand and suggest resolution to issues that arise with current and new business.
Document processes and procedures.
Maintain and publish various checklists and/or project plans.
Analyze multiple sources of data to determine necessary actions to take.
Independently research issues and come to a resolution in all cases.
Identify trends and potential areas of risk/opportunity through audits and work orders.
Progressive questioning to get to issue and subsequent improvement.
Assist the team in meeting or exceeding published Service Level Agreements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
SAP Payroll experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a confidential environment.
Proven accomplishments in process improvement and analytical skills.
Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
2+ years of experience in large in-house payroll environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, Outlook)
Works independently to complete task
