SUMMARY
The position will play formative role in developing and building upon TouchPoint’s analytics and reporting programs providing data driven insights into the business. The position will make both tactical as well as strategic observations and conclusions from data/analyses to recommend informed business decisions. Primary responsibilities include analyzing trends, developing predictive models, data mining, facilitating reporting, forecasting, and a wide spectrum of special projects determined by business needs. The Analyst will collaborate across multiple business units gathering requirements, analyzing data and developing solutions. This is an exciting role with direct exposure to senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct statistical analyses on big data to identify potential areas of improvement and mitigate the impact of existing known problem areas within the business. Provide operations with data driven recommendations to set best practices and optimize business processes.
- Assist in monthly operational reporting both internally and externally highlighting company performance.
- Provide regional financial coverage and support to operations on a monthly basis. Includes budgeting, variance analysis/review, recommendations for business improvement, and robust forecasting models.
- Assist in maintaining and updating department data files on a monthly basis for budget, forecast and prior year results to properly reflect business realignments.
- Establish a good working relationship with company sectors.
- Maintain a complete understanding of company hierarchy.
- Assist in the coordination of the annual budgeting process.
- Assist in the coordination of quarterly forecasts.
- Assist in providing other ad hoc reports and analyses at the request of management.
Qualifications:
- Four year degree in accounting.
- 1-3 years accounting/finance experience for a large corporation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong Microsoft Access skills a plus.
- Hyperion Enterprise and HFM experience preferred.
- Required heavy modeling experience in Excel and understanding of SAP systems.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, Qlickview, C++, or other programming languages preferred.
- Relevant experience analyzing and synthesizing complex data sets using database concepts and statistical tools.
- Experience in a deadline driven environment.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/priorities.
