Job Description:
As a Developer, the successful candidate will be responsible for software development practices across multiple applications in Microsoft technology. The Developer should possess strong technical skills to plan, design, document, implement and test new enterprise scale applications in the Microsoft technology space. In addition, the candidate should be capable of managing development deliverables, and requirements scope for new or existing products and applications. The candidate will possess strong technical and programming skills including experience with designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-class system software. These qualities should be used effectively to work with Sr. developers, architects, administrators, and analysts to resolve complex system issues as well as communicating the results to senior management. Candidate should posses' strong communication skills to effectively manage the internal and external expectations from customers. These communication skills should also be used to effectively in communicating project progress to senior management.

Experience working across different versions of the Microsoft technologies, development tools, operating systems, and application servers is a must. The candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and following development plans, release management plans, and testing methodologies that ensure application development is within the prescribed best practices for all assigned software systems. These responsibilities must be met while ensuring compliance with system specifications. The candidate must maintain a high degree of process, and documentation on all software releases to support existing development efforts as well as the maintenance of deployed solutions.


Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Developers/Sr. Developers and Business Analysts as needed to resolve and identify the root cause of defects and/or usability concerns of solutions

Collaborate with other project teams to improve process, tools, quality metrics, and methodology

Collaborate with other team members for design, implementation, and maintenance for asp.net web applications

Ensure technical documentation and systems are in agreement

Ensure the execution of Unit & Module-level tests against detailed design specifications

Develop and document clear and concise custom program specifications through consultation with analyst to ensure the successful delivery of user specifications

Provide assessment to offer workable & efficient solution to meet business needs

Participate in all aspects of Application Development Life Cycle (requirements, design, development, test, etc.)

Participate in design discussions and facilitate technical meetings

Interact with business staff to review, analyze, design, and implement new applications/changes

Work closely with technical/QA staff to design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement changes

Utilize a variety of available scripting languages, web technologies, relational databases, monitoring tools, and modeling tools, but primarily using Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio

Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or related field with professional work experience in software development A minimum of 5 years cumulative experience working with and creating enterprise-class software development. Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining enterprise-class applications4+ years' experience in developing ASP.Net (C#) web applications with SQL Server databases using N-Tier architecture Excellent understanding and hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, AJAX, MVC, JavaScript, CSS, VB.Net, C++, VB6, HTML, DHTML, XML Experience using Visual Studio & other Development tools for compiling and debugging is must Experience with some or all of the following is a must: SQL Server, Windows 2008 Server, IIS, TSQL, SQL development, Stored Procedures, DTS, SSIS, SQL Jobs Experience in implementing Web Services, APIs Experience in Enterprise Reporting development like SSRS, ActiveReports Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems is a must Demonstrated ability to handle/organize multiple complex technical projects simultaneously without compromising the quality of work or the final product Demonstrated strong analytical & troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated team player to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment who thrives on challenging problems and eager to learn Must have strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently as well as part of a team Must be able to rapidly deliver results & possess the ability to catch on quickly to new ideas and processes Prior experience in creating enterprise-class solutions for retail business Background in CMM, SDLC, Scrum or other software development methodologies Experience working on web frameworks like Dojo or JQuery Experience working on frameworks like Angular or Knockout Experience in using TFS / VS2013 Experience balancing business priorities with technical best practices and implementation Methodologies Graphic/Web Design Experience is a plus Experience with testing is a plus (TDD, unit tests, integration tests, load tests, etc.) Experience with LDAP and Active Directory is a plusGreat People.
