AUDIO/VISUAL TECHNICIAN - PER DIEM - New York, NY
Provide daily support for audio visual equipment utilizing excellent customer service and client support skills. Complete setup, breakdown and troubleshooting of audio visual equipment needed to execute productive meetings and company events.
Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure timely response to all inquiries regarding Audio Visual needs.
Responsible for reviewing customer requests from the AV and function reports and providing equipment/assistance at the time and place necessary.
Handle all Audio Visual requests and designate a course of action for each request.
Review operation of equipment with customer and ensure that the customer is comfortable with its operation.
Provide technical assistance for all meetings and customers that require tech services for their events.
Responsible for working directly with the Conference Services Director and Facilities Representative in creating set-up and Audio Visual guides detailing the specific meeting room changes.
Responsible for maintaining a checklist of meeting room standards and maintaining the accuracy of meeting room standards.
Responsible for organizing and assisting with the set-up all conference rooms per the requirements listed in system reports. Must test all equipment prior to the facilitator’s/trainer’s arrival.
Wear a radio/Iphone at all times so that you can be located if needs arise for a customer.
Maintain the entire Audio Visual inventory on-site and submit monthly reports to the Director of Conference Services on usage, breakage, etc.
Responsible for keeping all the A/V storerooms organized and well managed.
Responsible for maintaining pars on all AV supplies and submitting requests for purchases to the Facilities Representative. These supplies include: Bulbs, batteries, etc.
Assist the Facilities Department with set-ups, break downs and any other areas where they may need assistance in an effort towards total guest satisfaction.
Adhere to all FLIK International policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
Travel to Downers Grove location on an as needed basis.
Any other special projects, duties deemed necessary by your Manager.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional and pleasant manner on a daily basis.
- 2+ years in Conference Services/Audio Visual field.
- Extensive knowledge of Audio Visual Equipment, routine maintenance, integrated Audio visual systems, using equipment such as Crestron, Polycom, Extron, Shure, etc.
- Advanced typing and knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes and Internet Explorer.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to carry out responsibilities with little supervision, as well as juggle many tasks simultaneously.
