Job Description:
This is a Great Opportunity to become a leader in a great company and growing Sector of Compass Group, Canteen Dining Services. We are seeking a growth minded General Manager to direct responsibility for the overall foodservice operation in a corporate dining account. Financially accountable for the dining service department and operate the department in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the client with the maximum value.
Responsibilities:
- Able to handle responsibility for ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures-follows HACCP standards.
- Knowledge of financial, budgetary, and accounting practices.
- Have the creative ability to work with the Executive Chef and Catering Director in menu and event planning.
- Proficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.
- Union experience helpful.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
