Job Description:

Individual will be responsible for daily 1st and 2nd level support of Compass Group field computers and corporate office desktops, laptops, printers. May also responsible for supporting field accounting & financial applications.


Responsibilities:

Answer IT helpdesk telephone calls from both Corporate and Field employees; troubleshoot and resolve majority of computer problems on telephone.

Troubleshoot and resolve on-site desktop and laptop computer problems.

Track and report on incidents and provide timely response to support requests, following through to ensure user satisfaction.

Provide initial LAN, computer hardware, Windows, Microsoft Office and remote communication support.

Ensure timely installation / upgrade of hardware including network cards, video cards, hard drives, system boards, modems, etc.

Coordinate physical setup and configuration of PCs, printers and other peripherals.

Ensure compliance with support call procedures related to timing, reporting and follow through.

Provide end user support for multiple field financial applications.

Assess, resolve, track and provide timely responses in compliance with procedures to ensure user satisfaction.

Work with STG and business team members to identify process and/or application improvements.

Participate in system and unit testing to ensure functionality, accuracy and quality of application.

Assist in production of high quality procedural, operational and application documentation.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred. Certificate from accredited technical school is preferred.

Two to three years of relevant work experience.

Must be able to coordinate project tasks assigned to the team.

A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications preferred

Helpdesk Institute (HDI) Support Center Analyst certification preferred.

Windows XP & Windows 7 workstation operating systems experience required

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8, 9

TCP/IP knowledge

Antivirus Software

Firewall knowledge

Hardware proficiency on PC's, servers, printers, peripherals, hubs, gateways, routers, modems, etc

2-3 years experience with PC hardware and software installation, problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution in a LAN/WAN environment.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010

Working knowledge of Active Directory & Exchange administration.

Knowledge of VPN, dial-up internet services, PCAnywhere and other remote connectivity tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.
