The Regional Marketing Manager is accountable for the regional marketing strategy and supports the achievement of sector and regional business goals. Key responsibilities include leading the marketing strategy for the region, driving the Chartwells brand standards and business goals, implementing retail innovations and marketing and promotional strategies, new business and client retention strategies, communications such as custom presentations, proposals, social media and other special projects.
Job Description:
- Drive Chartwells' new brand philosophies and standards throughout the West Region.
- Coordinate local efforts with corporate merchandising and marketing initiatives.
- Develop strategic marketing plan for the region and guide local level marketing plans.
- Drive marketing KPIs across the region
- Develop network of marketing champions
- Implement programs for the region to increase participation and sales, including same store sales growth.
- Develop a marketing strategy with regional operations teams and sales/CRM teams for new business and rebid presentations.
- Create and manage relationships with Operations, Communication leaders.
- Ensure that the Regional/Corporate goals are achieved within an established budget.
- Monitor and analyze market trends.
- Identify target markets and develop strategies to communicate with them.
- Drive guest and client satisfaction.
- Drive associate recognition.
- Professionally represent region at sales presentations, leadership meetings and school district events
Qualifications:
- BS degree in marketing or hospitality management or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the Hospitality & Foodservice industries are strongly desired.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the Marketing field.
- Multi-unit and decentralized region experience a plus
- Understanding of budget management and driving business goals
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong design style and conceptual skill, including creative design solutions.
- Ability to influence and drive integration of marketing strategy into operational program and planning.
- Ability to prepare and manage marketing budget.
- Knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts, as well as public relations and merchandising. Experience with sales initiatives.
- Excellent communicator with strong technical aptitude who remains abreast of industry/technology trends (to include mobile marketing and social media) and has significant marketing and business acumen.
- Broad knowledge of social media methodologies and techniques as well as the ability to come up with alternative ideas to leverage technology.
- Promotional strategy, retail management and/or design background a plus.
- Must be able to travel in the specified region and work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Marketing Project management experience a plus.
- Ability to work with a large variety of client partners.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential for a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to demonstrate composure and self-confidence in difficult situations.
- Experience / consistent performance in deadline-oriented environment due to tight time restraints and volume of work in heavy proposal seasons.
