The Marketing Manager is a key member of the Chartwells K12 team supporting partnerships in North and South Carolina, with responsibility for driving outcomes of the onsite team and partnering with operations to grow participation and drive the business. At Chartwells K12 we are looking for an outgoing marketing expert who is passionate about building a brand that supports students and nutrition, creating a collaborative culture and ultimately shaping district wide marketing and promotional strategy. The role is multifaceted with oversight of strategic marketing initiatives that improve participation and drive new revenue.
Job Description:
- Partners with operations and regional marketing to set marketing strategy that builds our business and client/guest engagement
- Supports new business transitions
- Drives development and directs results-oriented marketing planning across districts
- Develops success metrics and reporting mechanisms for marketing plans and initiatives
- Directs implementation of core marketing programs including but not limited to promotional initiatives and café design strategies
- Directs retail partnerships and merchandising strategies as well as implementation to grow sales
- Creates and develops strategic relationships with key internal (culinary, dieticians, operations) and external groups
- Collaborates with Director of Communications on public relations and media opportunities that support and enhance branding
- Oversees agencies and design resources as appropriate to support program implementation
- Builds brand appropriate marketing programs and promotions that build culture and enhance our positioning within the marketplace
- Develops and maintains client relationship
- Works with Compass resources to ensure appropriate integration and collaboration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a major in marketing, advertising or related field
- Minimum five years marketing management experience required
- Proven track record of directing and tracking marketing programs that build engagement and sales
- A strategic thinker and highly organized with ability to prepare and manage budgets
- Restaurant, fast casual or food marketing experience a plus
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent oral and written communicator with strong technical aptitude who remains abreast of market business trends
- Broad knowledge of social media and solutions that build internal and external engagement, as well as a thorough understanding of the Internet
- Self starter with outstanding leadership and planning skills
- Budget management experience preferred
- Willing to travel 50%
- Ability to balance business priorities with best practices and implementation methodologies
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
