Job Description:
The Union Accounting Quality Control Analyst is responsible for proactively auditing and tracking the Union Accounting team's calculations of contributions based on labor agreements and ensuring compliance to contract terms. They are also responsible for the ongoing training of the Union Accountants to ensure future payments are made correctly.

Responsibilities:


Randomly audit union associate deductions, job classifications, employment dates, deduction amounts, payroll coding, hire and/or termination dates to ensure compliance with contract terms.

Randomly audit union benefit and dues payments.

Review discrepancy reports to determine the root cause and take the appropriate actions. This will include working with Labor Relations, Union Payroll, Benefits and the Union Accounting Team.

Analyze and escalate late benefit payments, corrections, and missed new business.

Analyze discrepancy report trends.

Work with the UA Management team to develop Union Accounting specific training modules and process documentation.

Survey key customers for feedback on team's compliance to contract terms, SLAs, and customer service standards.

Measure compliance to UA standards, SLA expectations, policies, and procedures.

Communicate and train Union Accountants on corrections needed.Qualifications:

Four year degree required, Accounting or Finance preferred

Proficient in Excel, Word, and working knowledge of Access

Strong presentation skills

Ability to read and interpret complex Collective Bargaining Agreements

Excellent analytical skills

Strong reasoning and judgment skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to work continuously with tight deadlines

Exceptional customer service skills and "can-do" attitude

Must have drive and initiative and be self-motivated
