SSC Service Solutions is a part of Crothall Services Group which provides environmental services for Hospitals, K-12 Schools, Colleges, Shopping Centers, Business & Industries. JOB SUMMARY


The Director of Facilities has the ultimate responsibility for the operation of the Account. The Director of Facilities is in charge of all matters relating to the POM Department. The Director of Facilities formulates policies and directs operations of the Account. The Director is responsible for the overall oversight of the Account. Director will provide leadership for the overall strategic development of the POM Department, responsible for successfully coordinating and support all activities of that department. Works with all levels of the facility staff in all matters relating to the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility. Director fosters and maintains an environment where SAFETY is first and always. Must be a proven leader.


Job Description:



  • Monitoring of unit expenditures.

  • Develop and recommend department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget.

  • Coordinate POM activities with other departments.

  • Actively communicate with administration and other university’s departments.

  • Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department.

  • Establish work standards and work flow.

  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations.

  • Encourage and mentor staff creativity and innovation.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.

  • Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.

  • Read and develop in the Total Quality Management process.

  • Participate and add value to the facility and it’s committee (i.e. Safety Committee/OSHA)

  • Training and development of Directors

  • Demonstrate knowledge of EEO policies

  • Inspect facilities constantly to ensure Quality Control procedures are utilized

  • Exercise appropriate discipline in accordance to any Collective Bargaining Agreement of the facility

  • Provide a safe working environment

  • Demonstrate and promote SSC culture and management philosophy

  • Identify capital expenditures

  • Assist in developing/revising annual budgets

  • Maintains direct contact with varying levels of university’s administration including the direct client, as business needs warrant

  • Ensures university’s strategic objectives are defined and achieved

  • Ensures company capital assets are secured and maintained in first class working condition

  • Achieves both company and client's program integrity at high quality standards


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Four year college degree preferred

  • 5 years POM management experience at a large account preferred.

  • Experience in dealing with union(s).

  • Experience in College/University Facility required.

  • Must have managed at least 1M+ Cleanable Square Feet

  • Managed $10M+ Annual Budget

  • Have Managed a workforce of 50+ Employees

  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data.

  • General business acumen.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • High Customer Service and quality attitude, with great communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.

  • Public speaking skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

  • Ability to maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment.

  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
