Job Description: Bench Project Manager - NORTHEAST

This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to become a leader in a great company and growing corporation. In this position you will plan, organize, and control space planning, deferred maintenance, and renovations of spaces and construction management.
Responsibilities:
- Consults with client to determine functional requirements of upgrades or renovations.
- Communicates and coordinates the interests of the client, Morrison Senior Living ,and the design team throughout the project.
- Assists in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Prepares budgets, cost analyses, feasibility studies and comparisons related to ensure proper decision making.
- Identifies, assesses, and works to minimize/manage risks to Morrison Senior Living, and client.
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies in order to obtain necessary approval and permits.
- Negotiates and executes construction contracts with suppliers, consultants and contractors.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate software tools.
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, and/or others.
- Evaluates and authorizes payment of invoices related to the projects to meet contractual requirements and manage project cash flow.
- Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Utilizes best practices, tools and systems for implementation on all projects.
- Assists with the opening of new accounts as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience of progressive responsibility in successfully managing construction projects within Senior living and Long term care environments, with special focus on Plant Operations and Environmental departments.
- Extensive operational and technical knowledge of typical facility mechanical and electrical systems.
- Must possess very strong written, verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in negotiating, executing and managing contracts using industry-standard documents.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, specifically those standards related to Senior Living Facilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite of software applications.
- Expertise in use of Microsoft Project scheduling software
- Excellence at working both independently (self-motivated) and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to lead, manage and document project meetings.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of a client’s organization (technical, financial and administrative).
- Experience working with professional engineering and architectural consultants including a thorough knowledge of standard design and engineering processes.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Management experience in union as well as non-union environments
- Must be willing to travel 90% of the time
