SENIOR MANAGER, CAMPUS AND VETERANS PROGRAMS

Job Description
We are seeking a highly talented campus recruiting leader with the right combination of passion, experience and leadership skills to drive our Campus and Veterans recruitment programs. As the Senior Manager of Campus and Veterans Programs, you will drive the organization’s Campus Program strategy through the creation and execution of college programs, veteran’s programs and partnerships. This position is responsible for building strong relationships with colleges, technical schools, universities and the U.S. Military. As a builder of the Compass Group brand across the country, you will shape our campus social media outreach and tactical plans for a team of campus recruiters and ambassadors. This is a highly collaborative role partnering with key internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Create the campus programs strategy by partnering with senior-level management to align the strategy with business needs.
- Manage a team of 3-4 recruiters to execute the annual recruitment process for fulltime associates, Managers-in-Training (MIT), Interns, Externs, and Co-ops.
- Influence business leaders to gain support and involvement in Campus Program activities.
- Act as the key representative of Compass Group in both internal and external forums for initiatives related to college recruiting/branding.
- Liaison with Compass Group management in support of Compass Group for Higher Education accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key school contacts including career services, faculty, student organizations, and individual students to provide a source of potential candidates for internships, MIT programs and entry-level positions.
- Build the Compass Group employment brand with colleges and universities by participating in on-campus events such as career fairs, on-site interviews, student organization and classroom presentations, etc.
- Lead partnerships with national student and diversity organizations to attract top talent.
- Assist in program development with various lines of business.
- Lead the creation of marketing tools to support the recruitment process, including presentations, social media campaigns, recruitment brochures, and placement of display booths, etc.
- Conduct and oversee the pre-screen process for college applicants (i.e. interviews, reference checks, testing, etc.).
- Manage agreements with select target schools and military partnership programs.
- Use high impact metrics to report and analyze data.
- Manage the campus events timeline, nationwide calendar and quarterly Campus and Veterans Programs eUpdate.
- Develop, manage and track the department’s budget, and evaluate for improvements in efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Understand and comply with Compass Group and government requirements related to recruiting, selection and hiring.
Qualifications
- Ability to travel up to 50-75% during recruiting season (September-April).
- Five+ years of experience in a campus recruiting/college relations position, with a minimum of three years leading recruiters and strategic campus recruiting programs in a regional or national capacity.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Thorough knowledge of recruiting practices including employment practices, legal compliance, sourcing solutions, interviewing and selection techniques.
- Ability to present to all levels within the organization (CEO to field managers) and externally (students and college faculty).
- Experience leveraging social media to further company brand and reputation.
- Previous management experience.
- History of balancing priorities of multiple stakeholders, including leaders in various industries and geographical locations.
- Proven program and project management experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer competency in all MS Office Applications.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
