Job Description:
As a Business Analyst for Morrison Skilled Care Division, you will report directly to the Division President and will provide business and analytical support to the operations leadership and regional teams for the division; to improve operational performance and drive financial results. The position will also play a key role in new business opportunities and developing strategic direction for the Division with over $60M in revenue.KeyResponsibilities:
The Business Analyst will be a primary point of contact for the Division President regarding financial support within the MSL division
Weekly review of operational flash reporting to identify opportunities and discrepancies
Review of purchasing data working with teams to identify opportunities and variances
Supporting the Regional Directors of Operations (RDOs) in specific business opportunities and challenges will play a significant part in the Business Analyst role
Assist in developing and reviewing sales methodology tool used to bid new business in conjunction with RDOs and Director of Finance
Performance benchmarking analysis within Division utilizing data mining tools
Be responsible for implementing business tools and processes and coordinating training efforts as assigned
Responsible for recognizing, implementing, and tracking waste reduction initiatives and communicating these opportunities to Division and Regional teams
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and strategic planning process for division
Development of strategic measures and monthly financial review and analysis
Coordinate the forecasting of financial results and present the results to executive management to drive results
Responsible for management and tracking of key metrics for the current Division President and RDO teams
Track financial performance for operational programs and initiatives
Work on new business deals and/or other projects as assigned by Division President
Position will have dotted line accountability to Director of Finance and must be able to work closely with the Finance Team and be a valuable extension of that team
Other ad hoc projects within Finance as assigned
Necessary Ingredients:
BA in Finance or Accounting is required, MBA is preferred.
A total of 7 to 10 years of related experience in Finance with a demonstrated record of advancement.
Minimum of 5 years of operations experience in food service.
Food industry experience is a plus, must be able to quickly grasp operating principles and practices.
Ability to effectively manage and extend influence across multiple layers of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; must be comfortable presenting in front of groups and different levels of management
Requires a high level of proficiency in Excel and Access to effectively manage a vast amount of data and to develop advanced financial models
Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to set goals and objectives, and timelines to efficiently meet tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional image
