This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to become a leader in a great company and growing corporation. In this position you will plan, organize, and control space planning, deferred maintenance, and renovations of spaces and construction management.


The Project Manager is an experienced “operator without portfolio” that is flexible for support assignments to prospective, new and existing accounts. As a support resource the Project Manager will be assigned by a senior Operations Manager (SVP or RVP) to conduct surveys of potential client facilities; assist on presentations; plan and execute start-ups of new business; audit and/or re-engineer existing accounts; recruit and train management or hourly personnel; or perform other operations, program development, teaching, research or troubleshooting assignments. The Project Manager must be knowledgeable, experienced and fully fluent in Housekeeping, Linen Distribution and Patient Transportation services and programs.


The Project Manager must also be computer literate, with practiced fluency in company software programs such as Team Coach, Team Transport, eFinance, and Team Staff. The Project Manager must be proficient in company accounting, DLRs and WORs, all company operating systems, and must have an intimate working knowledge of company HR policies and procedures.


While not permanently assigned to any specific account or groups of accounts, the Project Manager must necessarily be ready and available to accept command responsibility for start-ups or troubled units, performing both start-up (or restart) as well as day-to-day management duties.


During periods of reduced Division activity, the Project Manager may be asked to perform assignment outside of the Division.



Responsibilities:



  • Proficient in the understanding and operation of the Team Coach, eFinance, Team Staff and other company software tools.

  • Supports Environmental and Transport accounts in the understanding and operation of system applications.

  • Works closely with the Company’s IS Department and Augmentix; recommends changes or modifications to the system for consideration.

  • Collects and analyzes facility data including, occupancy data etc., develops appropriate staffing levels based on industry standards, company benchmarking and personal experience.

  • Surfaces hard to collect data through direct interviews, observation, experience and other methods – skillfully estimates labor components for each function and area. Evaluates and determines capital equipment needs based on staffing and function needs.

  • Performs equipment inventory.

  • Prepares the labor and non-labor costing in accordance with Company guidelines and protocol.

  • Performs time studies and develops accurate projections for transport dispatch time, response time, active time and total turnaround time.

  • Identifies "hot spots" and program issues to be included in Sales Directors presentation.

  • Identifies and develops a corrective plan for quality and service issues.

  • Recommends best practice synergies, which may include bed tracking, call center concept etc.

  • Functions as the Start up Captain for all new accounts.

  • Develops the start up plan, coordinates resources and other logistics related to the start up.

  • Collaborates with Company resources to appropriately staff the start up.

  • Collaborates with the IS Department and Augmentix.

  • Prudently manages resources to meet or beat start up budget.

  • Implements all Crothall programs according to the proposal, Company standard and costing.

  • When necessary, provides recommendations for the use of external resources.

  • Performs Operations Audits as needed.

  • Troubleshoots problem accounts, reviewing system implementation and application.

  • Provides support, training and recommendations to the on site management team.

  • Establishes and maintains “Foundations” level accounts for new and ongoing development of managers.

  • Provides orientation and management training to existing and new management teams. This training will include system application and day-to-day management practices.

  • Provide some on one training to account managers depending on the operational needs of an account.

  • At the discretion of the Regional Manager for Transport/Environmental Services, provides as needed support including survey, start up, marketing/sales, operations etc. in the area of Environmental Services for the Division and company.

  • Performs special projects as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Five to eight years Director level experience in hospital housekeeping industry with high customer/client contact required

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations

  • Ability to multi-tasks and establish priorities

  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment

  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures

  • Ability to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives

  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
