This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to become a leader in a great company and growing corporation. In this position you will oversee the daily operations of a large industrial laundry facility in the processing and delivery of healthcare linens. You will also manage the development and training of the staff in efficiently producing a high quality product.
Responsibilities:
- Fiscal management of the costs and expenses in the operation of the plant.
- Oversee contract and labor costs.
- Handles all human resource issues such as training, regulatory compliance staffing, payroll and benefit administration for the entire staff.
- Assists in the production of weekly reporting for Weekly Operating Report, Key Indicators, Payroll and Human Resource Functions. Able to read and interpret a P&L statement.
- Oversee regulatory compliance of the plant.
- Assists with Joint Commission, Linen Review, and operating Committees within the facility and hospital group.
- Assists in the forecast annual budget and works through budget approval process with General Manager, Regional Manger, and Senior Vice President.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Management or equivalent work experience required.
- At least 5 years of operations/management experience - preferably laundry operations with large-scale plants in management or commercial field preferred.
- Spanish language skills a plus.
- Knowledge of production methods and monitoring.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment and basic washroom chemistry.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
