CATERING SALES MANAGER


Achieve our mission to develop lasting relationships based upon trust and partnership by personalizing each event with passion. This position is responsible for soliciting business for Corporate and Social events specific to assigned market segments at LA Live. Work directly with Director of Sales, General Manager and VP of Sales to develop and retain client base, and to meet sales objectives through strategic and tactical efforts.


Leverage the brand reputation and venue strengths to develop food and beverage revenue for internal leads and prospected clients. The position will operate in accordance with strategic objectives and selective selling guidelines in place to meet and exceed market driven group revenue components. To maintain a consistent and organized operation while continuously striving to increase the company brand vision in the market, while adhering to all company policies and procedures. To maintain and nurture relationships with clients, guests, employees and vendors. To provide and continue to exceed client and guest satisfaction. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, be a team player, and able to creatively think and work within the full spectrum of all that is involved with being a successful catering company.


Objectives:



  • Develop monthly sales plan to achieve results.

  • Manage sales activities such as sales calls, site visits and cold calling to generate revenue and book business

  • Implement marketing initiatives to reach target audience.

  • Attend industry related events to generate new business and keep current with trends.

  • To ensure all paperwork is being sent out in professional and timely manner

  • Represent company at tradeshows and conferences as necessary

  • Work closely with other departments and teams to provide solutions and service based on client needs

  • Ensure all appropriate communication for upcoming business is complete in a timely manner

  • Create contracts, banquet event order, and event floor plans based on client needs and best operational scenarios

  • All tasks, projects, deadlines are to be met as directed

  • Responsible for collecting deposits and payments based on company procedures.

  • Maintain a professional environment

  • Handle high volume of work

  • Be present for the start to the end of every event as directed

  • To consistently deliver high standards of care to existing customers and to promote further business by exceeding customer expectations where possible.




Qualifications:



  • Individual must have a minimum of 2 years strong food and beverage sales and logistics with a catering company, service hotel or other related/equivalent experience.

  • The ideal candidate should be a deal maker who is adept at consultative selling at the executive level and has a track record of sales accomplishments

  • A track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and targets over time

  • Be able and willing to work 55-65 hour work week or as business dictates

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
