This position’s main function is to support Supplier Relations and the expansion of diverse suppliers within Eurest National Accounts, as well as Compass sectors, operators, field support, and clients. The associate will work closely with Vice President of Business Needs and the Foodbuy Procurement Team to ensure all sectors are well informed in the area of Supplier Diversity. This manager will be responsible for tracking diverse supplier programs to support internal management objectives and client scorecards. This manager will also work directly with the diverse suppliers and industry trade organizations to identify qualified suppliers who can provide goods and services to Foodbuy and its’ customers.
POSITION LOCATION: Charlotte, NC
RECIPE TO SUCCEED:
- Act as a liaison between Foodbuy and its’ suppliers to ensure all qualified vendors are included when bid opportunities arise
- Manage internal newsletters and brochures
- Input data into Client Tracking reports or on line tools
- Manage Category Manager diverse supplier scorecards.
- Act as liaison for Compass Group outreach activities with Supplier Diversity Trade Association activities.
- Management of Supplier Diversity Information an Internal and External Websites
- Provide Supplier Diversity Training to Foodbuy Internal Management and external customers, as needed
- Maintain Supplier Diversity Activities Calendar
- Support Sales and Strategic Alliance Initiatives relating to Vendor Subcontracting Plans and diverse vendor inclusion in bids.
- Coordinate and support diverse supplier inclusion in Culinary Projects, Marketing programs and product cuttings
NECESSARY INGREDIENTS:
- 3 years academic training in business management, communications or purchasing
- Prior experience in Supplier Diversity and small business program development
- Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative type role
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Fully conversant in Microsoft software and programs
- Job may require 40% travel to client locations and Diversity Association events
- Industry related experience preferred
