Job Description:


The Marketing Manager's role is to represent CHARTWELLS on their campus and in the surrounding community and to increase usage of dining services. To reach these goals, you will handle the following:

Responsibilities:



  • Creates and executes College and University Marketing Plan and Budget for each fiscal year with the goal of increasing participation and overall sales, as well and retaining existing market share.

  • Works with managers to ensure each unit is adhering Corporate standards and appropriately executing and tracking marketing plan.

  • Conducts and participates in conference calls with marketing team and champions.

  • Works closely with Culinary Team on developing recipes that match marketing programs.

  • Client relations throughout the year and not just during the sales process or meetings.

  • Focus groups with students and continuous communication with these groups.

  • Oversee Nutrition, Sustainability and Community Outreach programs.

  • Disseminate Compass communication to the field.

  • Travels to accounts daily to support units and ensure proper marketing and merchandising standards are in place.

  • Work with Chartwells marketing team and support overall Compass marketing goals.

  • Coordinates corporate merchandising and signage standards on campus.

  • Understanding trends and the importance they play in the business model.

  • Plans and implements promotional efforts with vendors.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in either Marketing, Hospitality, English or a related field.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to communicate on various levels, to include management, customers, students and associates.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer/client skills.

  • Dynamic individual who can captivate an audience.

  • Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, such as Microsoft office programs – Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator.

  • Knowledge of public relations and merchandising.

  • Experience with sales.

  • The ability to speak to large groups of students and faculty.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends when necessary.
