Location: Joliet, Illinois
Job Description: Direct responsibility for the overall foodservice and operational safety in a corporate dining account. Personally accountable for the overall safety behaviors of their account. Operates the department in accordance with the approved Quality Assurance standards and Loss Prevention methods, while providing the Client with a safety first facility. Ensures that the food and service offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior safety. Directs and conducts safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs. Maintains excellent relationships with employees, guests and Client as well a other departments within the operation. Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire team. In addition, the coordinator will foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the dining service department with the facility safety program.
Responsibilities:
- Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, customers, client and associate.
- Able to handle responsibility for ensuring proper presentation, extra side projects, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures-follows HACCP standards.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, email and the Internet.
Qualifications:
- This is an entry level position, seeking candidates who, within the past twelve months or less, completed a Bachelor's degree in food service, safety, nutrition or related field.
- Food and/or safety experience helpful.
- Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including knowledge of MS Office Products.
- Proficient in various computer software programs.
