CONFERENCE OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Conference Operations Manager is responsible for establishing a warm, welcoming and professional atmosphere for all clients, executives and staff members.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Oversee day to day operations of the Conference Centers at the Atlanta Office Complex
- Ensure Conference Center environment is conducive to meetings, trainings and guests.
- Assist Conference Director with managing Human Resource items related to conference center staff.
- Work with all on-site vendors to ensure that the facility is maintained and operated constantly, ensuring high customer satisfaction appearance and functionality. Communicate requests to the appropriate internal support departments, such as Building Maintenance (heating and cooling issues), Information Technology (computer issues), Audio Visual Technology (meeting room technical support), Setup services, and Catering.
- Assist Conference Director in Collecting and Analyzing Conference Center Data and Metrics.
- Assist Conference Director with Training and Development of all Conference Center staff.
- Adhere to all Compass policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook
- Planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the activities of the Concierge Team.
- Have a thorough understanding of the firm’s emergency procedures and be prepared to carry out designated tasks in the event of a fire or other emergency
- The teaching and implementation of FLIK Platinum Service® principles within the Concierge functions.
- Following established guidelines for obtaining proper approvals and providing accurate and timely explanations/documentation for any expenditures of company funds to include Management Company or client.
- Ensuring that appropriate Standard Operating Procedures are in place for all functions and that these procedures are modified as changes occur or new responsibilities are assumed.
- Consistently monitors and interacts with clients conducting meetings throughout the Conference Center facility (USA, NAT, CRB, LRN)
- Effectively embody the culture of the Coca-Cola Atlanta Office Complex
- Lead a team in effective execution & embodiment of the client culture
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding Customer Service skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to carry out responsibilities with little supervision, as well as juggle many tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and experience with financial/statistical analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the day.
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
- Familiarity with conference room reservation/space management systems.
- Extensive knowledge in event and space management with focus on event logistics and execution.
- Ability to think strategically in terms of both short-term and long-term objectives and challenges.
- A college or university graduate with several years of practical meeting experience.
